About Naughty Monster
Naughty Monster Clothing, was started in 2009, with the vision in mind to create fun, bright, good quality clothing for kids, after having 2 very busy children of my own and moving to Cape Town when they were very young, I was so inspired by the beauty that Cape Town had to offer that I had a dream to incorporate that into Children’s clothing. I saw a gap in the tourist retail industry for kids, everything I saw was very generic and lacked excitement and passion for our beautiful country, so I came up with a kids range that was exactly the opposite, bright, bold and passionately South African!
In 2013, I bought my first sewing machine and started manufacturing everything from my garage in Bloubergstrand, with one tailor, Maruh, known as “Rasta” and myself screen printing, we began our little company.
We faced many challenges and hardships along the way, but with the support of our loyal customers and our vision to create the number 1 kids clothing range for our tourists, we never gave up! 2 years later, in 2015 we moved to our factory in Paarden Eiland where we are still today, having grown our Naughty Monster Family to a team of 25 Staff, having the capacity to produce over 800 garments a day.
Naughty Monster is proudly South African, all the materials we use to manufacture our products are bought locally in S.A, we don’t import anything from overseas, therefore always supporting locally, making our country stronger. Our quality, competitive prices, bright colours, fun and vibrant designs and our excitement and enthusiasm for always wanting to create new ideas and keeping up to date with our current tourist market and our passion for South Africa is what makes us so unique and special.
